Indspire Receives Transformative Support from Dollarama and The Rossy Foundation
Ohsweken, ON – December 20, 2024 – Indspire is honoured to be one of 25 organizations selected to receive funding through a $30 million national charitable giving initiative by Dollarama and The Rossy Foundation. This landmark investment was made in celebration of Dollarama’s over 30 years of serving Canadians.
With the input of Dollarama employees nationwide, The Rossy Foundation has directed funding toward organizations addressing critical needs in Canadian society, including education, food security, mental health, and environmental action. Dollarama employees helped determine the allocation of the funds by voting for organizations of their choice from among those active in their regions, resulting in Indspire being chosen for its impact on Indigenous education and community development.
“This is a testament to the power of collaboration and shared values,” said Mike DeGagné, President & CEO of Indspire. “By investing in Indigenous education, The Rossy Foundation is not only supporting individual learners but also contributing to the success and strength of entire communities. This funding will have a ripple effect for generations, fostering empowerment, resilience, and opportunity for First Nations, Inuit, and Métis students across the country.”
This funding will enable Indspire to further its mission of closing the gap in educational attainment for Indigenous learners through scholarships, mentorship programs, and resources for educators. It comes at a time when demand for these services is at record levels, highlighting the importance of sustained support for initiatives that foster equity and opportunity.
Indspire is proud that Dollarama and The Rossy Foundation will support its efforts to build a brighter, more inclusive future for all Canadians by empowering Indigenous students to reach their full potential.
