Reporting to the Chief Mine Engineer, the Mine Engineer is responsible for the provision of a range of mine engineering services including: mine ventilation, rock mechanics and geotechnical and geophysical work. Mine production planning, mine equipment selection, utilization and productivity studies and other section functions are additional requirements.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Mining or Geological Engineering from a recognized university, be eligible for membership in the Association of Professional Engineers of Saskatchewan, and have 2 to 4 years Mine Engineering experience. Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills are required.
The successful candidate may be required to undergo a background check. All safety sensitive positions require a substance test in accordance with PotashCorp policy.
