Aboriginal Literature is a perfect way for educators to be proactive in realizing these recommendations. The goal of this presentation is to review titles in Aboriginal Children’s Literature, share resources in current use with the Winnipeg School Division as well as share real life examples of projects and success stories using these tools and texts. By familiarizing the participants with noteworthy Children’s books with an Aboriginal perspective educators will be able to return to their home school or organizations and build their libraries with literature that can be multi-functional in the classroom. Recorded at the 2016 National Gathering for Indigenous Education.
