Graham Kotowich

Youth Recipient (2013)

He is a professional ballet dancer who began dancing at the age of seven. At the age of twelve, Kotowich auditioned for and was accepted to the National Ballet School summer dance program in Toronto. At the age of eighteen, he accepted a full one-year scholarship to train at the Royal Ballet School in London, England. In 2006, he was accepted to the National Ballet School of Canada in Toronto. While training in Toronto, he was offered a First Year Corps de Ballet contract to the Northern Ballet Company in Leeds, England. He has been with the Northern Ballet Company as a dancer since 2008. Some career highlights include performing at the 40th Anniversary Northern Ballet Gala and selected by the Royal Ballet School to perform for members of the Royal Family at Buckingham Palace at a Gala to Honour Princess Margaret. Kotowich has also taught and demonstrated in ballet workshops aimed at raising youth awareness in ballet and the performing arts.
